The GE MDS P20 incorporates two GE MDS transceivers and power supplies with automatic or manual switch-over capability. On detection of a failure, the GE MDS P20 switches immediately to the standby transceiver. The switch-over occurs for selectable transceiver alarm conditions. Switch-over also occurs when no valid packets are received in a programmable time-frame of 1 to 30 minutes, or upon loss of power to the operating radio. An internal back-up battery is provided in AC-powered models for continued operation during a loss of primary power.

The GE MDS P20 Redundant Station is easily maintained with Standard GE MDS transceivers that are field-replaceable. The GE MDS P20 is packaged in a low-profile (2U) metal case that may be placed on a tabletop or rack mounted.

GE MDS P60 Product Overview

The GE MDS P60 compact enclosure is suited for installations where space is limited. It provides protection for a radio transceiver mounted on a metal plate with a power supply, battery, and interface/battery charger circuit board. Designed to work with any high performance GE MDS radio transceiver, the P60 provides protection from extreme weather conditions or highly corrosive environments.

There are power supply options for 12, 24, 48V DC or 120-220V AC to meet your installation site requirements. All connections for power and interfacing are made inside the enclosure. All cabling passes through the conduit connectors, leaving no electrical contacts exposed to moisture outside the housing.

MDS P70 Universal Packaged Radiopckaged-big-300x300

The GE MDS P70 Packaged Radio System is a weather proof NEMA 4X Corrosion Resistant Cabinet offering integration flexibility and protection for your GE MDS communication system. Its modular design allows room for two GE MDS radios, power supplies and customers’ RTU or PLC equipment, greatly simplifying installation and therefore reducing deployment time and costs.

The P70 package includes a 24 Volt power supply for powering RTU equipment. Also includes an automatic low voltage disconnect to protect the battery, mounting plate, and RS-232 interface connection for I/O equipment. Internal chassis is 19" rack mountable (minus the lightning protectors). A 12 Volt battery back up, internal heater, and bulkhead mounted lightning protector are optional.

Configurations possible: Duplex or Spread Spectrum Radio Repeater, Tail-End Link, Duplex Remote, Redundant Remote or Master Station Configuration.
